DTC introduces online COVID-19 resource center

The Downtown Council, as well as the Downtown and River Market Community Improvement Districts, are working daily to monitor the rapidly evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, we introduce a curated list of helpful resources for Downtown Kansas City businesses, customers, residents and workers.

The resource center will serve as the homepage of the DTC website for the near-term.

The resource center features a series of tabs that will connect you with timely, local information on:

News & Updates
Healthcare Resources
Business Resources
Community Resources
Transportation Services
Ambassador Services
Plus, links to Donation Centers and more

“The Downtown Council is dedicated to meeting the short- and long-term challenges of COVID-19 and in engineering Downtown’s road to post-pandemic recovery,” said Bill Dietrich, president & CEO.

“Today, more than ever, we value the commitment of our stakeholders, our partners, our neighbors, and our visitors. We are in this together, and there is nowhere else we’d rather be.”

Show(s) will go on – virtually

Two Downtown performing arts venues will unveil live performances this weekend that we can view at home.

The KC Repertory Theatre and Knuckleheads are featuring three different live shows.

KC Rep will feature two original plays – Frankenstein: A Ghost Story and Legacy Land –  to watch at home for a limited time only.

The plays, scheduled to debut live on the Copaken Stage at H&R Block in March, will be available for home viewing through April 15. To purchase a viewing password, click here.

Knuckleheads, the Downtown area’s favorite honky tonk, will live-stream a rockin’ show by the Danielle Nicole Band at 3 p.m. Saturday. Walk this way for tickets.
