An all-new performing arts series will make its Downtown debut on Thursday evening, featuring KC’s own The Black Creatures.
The series is part of the 2021 Art in the Loop Project Resilient. The Kansas City Streetcar and Art in the Loop will play host to the live music series along the KC Streetcar route over eight weeks this summer. Music will range from folk, hip-hop, jazz, and soul to funk, country, indie, Latin, and classical with original music and covers of popular songs performed by local artists.
Performances are scheduled for 5:00-6:30 p.m. Thursdays, beginning July 15 and running through Sept. 2. Specific location information will be announced on the KC Streetcar and Art in the Loop websites and social media sites (@kcstreetcar, @artintheloop).
The Black Creatures will get the series started at 5 p.m. Thursday (July 15) at the KC Streetcar River Market West Stop (4th & Delaware). In case of inclement weather, the performance will move indoors to the Light Well building, 1100 Main St., first floor.
