KC Streetcar says it best: ‘Mask up, KC!’

A KC streetcar has donned a custom vinyl mask graphic on both ends, as a way to encourage people to use face coverings on public transit and anywhere social distancing isn’t possible. The recent #MaskUpKC campaign was featured in the national Aixois Cities e-newsletter, which reported:

The big picture: Public transit ridership has suffered tremendously during pandemic-induced shutdowns, and commuters are generally wary of crowded vehicles.

Details: Face coverings are required on Kansas City streetcars, and the KC Streetcar Authority has given out more than 1,000 free face masks to riders in partnership with local nonprofit WeCan KC and the Downtown and River Market Community Improvement Districts.
