North Face run to close streets throughout Downtown today

The North Face Endurance Challenge race comes to Kansas City, Missouri today (Saturday, Nov. 17). While the North Face event is loaded with tough competition and long distance races, it also presents local workers, residents and consumers will some endurance challenges just getting around the city.

The various races — 50K, marathon, marathon relay, half marathon, 10K and 5K — all begin and end at Theis Park, just south of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, beginning at about 7 a.m. today. The 50K and marathon events will impact traffic in greater Downtown roughly between 7:40 a.m. and 11 a.m.
